Disk brake conversion
Hi everyone
I just had a few questions concerning a disk brake conversion on my 1967 1/2 ton pickup. I dont really want do purchase a full conversion kit, i would rather buy some spindles that would fit on the existing parts so i could still use GM parts. So, my question is, is there any GM spindles that will bolt onto my pickup, or is there a company that sells spindles that will bolt on that still uses GM parts? I know that since i have 6 lug wheels, i will probably have to switch to 5 lug, which is fine by me. But i will need to know what i will have to do to convert the rear to 5 lug wheels. thanks for the help, matt

If you want to change upper & lower ball joints, inner & outer tie rods w/adjusting sleeves ( or outer tie rods & $70 inner to outer adapter adjusting sleeves )& center link you can use 71-87 1/2 ton spindles.
or we carry 63-70 drop spindles or stock height spindles for disc brake conversions, then you change no steering or suspension parts as they are built to use all stock parts, and for brakes you use 71-87 GM truck calipers, rotors, bearings & seals. You'll find our spindles & brake parts here http://www.gmcpauls.com/Suspension.htm http://www.gmcpauls.com/Brakes&Steering.htm GMCPaul |
