Need pics of silver or pewter trucks

Does anyone have a pic of a 67-72 truck painted silver-grey or the newer pewter color? I'm thinking of painting my truck one of those colors, but thought it would be good to see one before doing that. Thanks, Dave

I was thinking the same thing. Maybe the wheels and the chrome looking flames add just a little too much "bling"...

Hey rat Rocket where in nebraska are you at? Thats where i'm originally from. I myself am in the process of getting ready to paint my old beast. I went down to price the 2000-2004 GM Pewter color which is very high metallic. PPG Deltron was about $206 a gallon. i got a bud of mine that works in the autobody business who's gonna see if he can't get em cheaper for me though. Really sweet color

I live in Waverly. 5 miles east of Lincoln. I know paint is expensive, but over $200 a gallon? My boy went to Wyotech so he is doing the body work. At least I'm saving some money there. I bought the truck in California so there isn't alot of rust on it at least. Thanks for all the pictures. My wife wants to paint it a Cortiz Silver and I was thinking about pewter since she won't let me paint it the 2001 Sunset Orange color that I really wanted.

the pewter was a bling bling metallic. It has alot of aluminum type flake stuff in it. You might be able to find it cheaper, but thats what I priced it directly from a paint store where a lot of local bodyshops go to. If you do a search on here for Wes at classic heartbeat trucks he had a garden truck he called it and it has this pewter color on it. I used to go to waverly when i turned 18 for the shakers (LOL) on that note anybody know where Wes is haven't heard from him in a while?

man thats a bummer he didn't want to pay the vendor fee's. He was a pretty good guy I thought. He was always posting progress pics of that gardent truck, and was pretty nice to me whenever I ordered parts from him. Well good luck to him and also to ratrocket here as well for his quest for the perfect paint.

I bought a tank from Wes recently, he is definitely alive and well, plus he has a silver project truck too. I will post it from my work machine tomorrow.
