Neutral Safety Question

I hate to ask this, but with the search feature offline for a while, I can't search for the answer myself.

I just converted from three-on-the-tree to an automatic tilt column. My question is....

On the neutral safety switch that is on the column, what does each pin do?

My plug (truck side of harness) only has provisions for the reverse lights because my truck was manual transmission. It will not plug directly onto the new column's switch, which includes the neutral safety portion so I will have to create a plug.
Can anyone show me what each pin operated on the switch itself??

if you use an ohm meter you should be able to turn the gear handle and ring out the terminals that way.i.e. park check for cont. reverse check for different cont. and then you should know which is common and just follow those steps untill you get the info you need. hope this helps Randy
