Ooops, I did it again!
Actually I didnt even do it but maybe you guys can tell me what I need to do. I took my truck over to my uncles house to see if he could help me figure out what in the world keeps draining the power from my truck battery. Well in the middle of trying to do that, he went to disconnect and (in line fuse, just guessing) and I guess the fuse ends had "fused" with their connector seats because the fuse shattered as he tried to pull it apart. We could not get down in there and pull the rest of the fuse out, anyone have any ideas? Sure I could just cut the fuse casing out and splice it together but I like to believe the old chevy engineers had reason for putting all that crap on our trucks. Here are some pictures of what I am talking about. The last picture is of another in-line fuse case I found on the other side of the truck. Just so you see what it was supposed to look like.
This paticular fuse killed the read-out on the ammeter which wasnt working correctly before breaking this fuse, killed it. |

I use my Snap-On snap ring pliers (for removing outside snap rings), insert it into the broken fuse, twist and pull it out.

And if you dont have them,GENTLY squeeze the connectors with a pair of pliers. You just want to deform the fuse cap so You can grab it with a needle nose pliers.

just cut it out and go get another inline fuse at the parts store to splice into it, i personally like to use blade fuses for inline fuses and thats what i used

If you twist and push the wire up into the fuse holder sometimes it will push the old fuse out.
