My aluminum vette wheels have brake dust specks on them taht refuse to come off. I've used car soap and wheel cleaner and it still won't come off. Any old tricks of the trade?

i don`t know if this is good for it, but i spray mine with carb cleaner when they are bad and it eats dust right off. i`ve never had any discoloration in my wheels and i`ve done it several times. i`m sure someone will correct me if it`s not a good way to do it.

MOTHER'S ALUMINUM MAG AND WHEEL POLISH. It is the *best* on the market. You can get it at the local Walmart or Target, prolly.

You'll be amazed at how much stuff this stuff takes off and how shiny the wheels are afterwards.

Once you get the wheels clean, go buys some spray-on clear coat for aluminum rims and spray them. This will prevent anything from getting on them in the future.
