I'm a truck owner again !!!!!!!!

I got a good deal on a 71 short fleet from a freind here. It's all done except for the cosmetic stuff and rims and tires. New motor and tranny. It just got back from the paint shop. It's jaguar blue. Just thought I would share. I am like a kid in a candy store.

Thanks guys. I just got it home today. All the paint is done. Now I have to decide how I am going to do the interior. And find some good wheels and tires for it.

What's all the bodies Hangin on the behind it???? I run mine most of the time without a body at all..
My Son-in-law said they just opened a BIG Off road track up in Minden or Gardnerville.. I need to go check it out.. I have four of those things, I might as well be doing something with them...

You're very welcome Jim,, That was a hell of a start, Lots of cool things on it, I really liked the Lokar gas pedal, and the Temp. gauge that was in the Intake.. Plus a few other things..

I have your old bed on my truck, If you're feeling lonely for it, you can come visit it..

I'll get with Son-in-law and find out just where the track is, I'm off Sundays,Mondays, and Tuesdays.. He said it was $5.00 to play, and the day he stopped by it was all Nitro trucks...

I need to find a place that's more reasonable for Fuel..... I stopped at a new little hobby shop in Minden,, They want $20.00 plus for 15% Powermaster Aircraft nitro... I was buying it for $10.00 to $12.00 a gallon in Vegas....

I may Still have an outlet for it by the case... I have a friend that works at a Hobby store in Vegas, He let me have a Case of whatever I wanted at Cost.. BIG savings. I'll check and see if he can still get it, I'd be happy to share a case with you.. Or if you know anyone that runs a Real Funny car or Monster Truck that uses Nitro, We could buy just a couple of gallons of Nitro, (Usually about $30.00 a gallon) then buy what we need to mix up our own.. Not a Science, like the Manufactures would like you to believe..

Sounds good. I have two nitro and one electric. I just dropped a new wasp .28 in my savage. Anxious to try it out. I have a freind that works at the local hobby store here. I can usually get a good deal on fuel if he is working. I would be interested in going in on a case though. As for the truck I think I am going to go with the lokar stuff again. I really liked the way it looked. It was a little pricey but well worth it. I just got to recoop from getting the truck then I will be right back at it.

Frost,

It is entirely a figment of your imagination. You are now going to bring it to me and then just think you imagined the whole episode. Don't I wish!! That is one nice looking truck. As others said, keep us up to date with progress pics. Can't wait to see what you do with it.
