How much is my truck worth? (might have to sell)

OK guys, I don't really have the money for a truck like this right now, so I've been thinking about selling it. Any guesses on a fair price would be appreciated. Here's the info:

1972 GMC C20
Power Disk Brakes
Power steering (not original)
350/SM465
350 runs good 50,000 miles since stock rebuild (70,000 total on truck)
Brand new GM HEI and MSD wires
new front bumper and rear roll pan
sway bar with fancy bushings
door panels and seat cover I made
new clutch
new water pump
new battery
(lots of other new parts)

BODY
Bed floor is very good, no dents 2 rust holes by the tailgate about 1" across
not very many dents on truck (except tailgate)
lots of cab rust (rockers, corners, floor)

I think I've got about $4000 USD into it, but it doesn't seem like it went very far. I don't think I would want to sell it for any less than $1700 USD. What do u guys think? I also know a low option C20 is a hard sell...

2 rockers and a floor pan are not all that bad to replace but I'm not sure what it would be worth. I like your roll pan. How does that attach?

The rollpan bolts to the end of the bed floor, and tabs are welded at the bottom corners

anyone have any $$$ figures for me?

Looks like a pretty nice project. I wouldn't mind the old girl myself, but I gotta stop spending money, lol

I'd be surprised if you couldn't get 2 grand for it, those trucks, esspecially the GMCs, are getting pretty tough to find. And believe it or not, that rust isn't bad compared to many of the older trucks up here :p

I like your G.M.C., I've got a 3/4 ton myself, I'd say its probably worth $2,500 (with a shifter!) It seems to me the 4-speed trucks are pretty rare, most of these trucks seem to be automatics,at least the ones that I've seen anyway.Be warned though, you would probably regret selling it.Maybe park it for a while and get back to it when things look a little better.

froma GMC LWB guy.. that hurts as does the fact its 2wd, the floorpan is another factor to contend with... don't know about canada, but in Ga ... i would be lucky to get $500-750 U.S.D.... probably not what you wanted to hear... but a truck is worth the condition it sits in, not what the potential it has to become... the hop ups are worth nothing except someone who has the same vision and looking to save a few $$$

I am not rying to burst your bubble, just my exoerience... but it is worth what ever you can get somebody to pay for it... right person might find it worth $3500, but not here where I am.......

I know what it is like to not see where the cash is going. My old wreck has $3500 CAD into it and it still junk. From what I have seen stuff sell for in the praries I would guess the truck to be worth 2000 CAD. The big hole in the floor (mine has one too) will hurt the resale value, as many people will expect the cab supports and other stuff to be shot too. All you can do is ask a price and if it sells, it sells, if not then you know it is too much. Maybe try $2300 and see what happens?

ONCE IN A WHILE YOU'LL FIND A TRUCK IN THAT SHAPE OUT HERE IN NEVADA. NOT VERY OFTEN & THEY USUALLY SPENT THE FIRST 15 OR 20 YEARS IN THE RUST BELT. ONE MANS RUSTBUCKET IS ANOTHER MANS CREAM PUFF. IT'S ALL A MATTER OF LOCATION. JOHN

well guys, thanx for the replies. I thought that I'd be losing a lot of money if I sold it. I think my plan now is to keep it, and later strip all the good parts from it and use them to build the 2 trucks I actually wanted to begin with (a 4x4 lwb, and a swb 2wd)

why did I buy a C20??
