Talking Wheel Question- will this fit?

Hey guys, on my 70 c 10 lwb, I have 2.5 spindles on front (lowering) and a
3 inch drop spring on the back. I am planning on 16 inch wheels and have converted over to the 5 inch 5 lug pattern.

Will a 4 inch backspace be alright for this application? I plan on running something around a 285/60/16 tire. Same size on all four corners for rotation, for daily driving. I also have disc brakes on all four corners, if that will impact backspacing.

Thanks for your input.

I can't speak for your truck, but I'll tell you that I'm running 17x10's in the rear at 5.5" bs on my 72 stepside with 275/40's, and they're fine. I was running 15x10's before with the same bs, and 275/60/15's, and the bulge in the tires was rubbing on the inside of the bed. Take a measuring tape and a 2x4 or something flat, and lay the flat object against the drum or rotor where the wheel would tighten up against, and measure from there to the back of whatever would come into contact with the tire first and then you know what distance you have back there.

My truck is a fleet side, with a stock rear end, I forgot to post that earlier.

Thanks for the replies, so far.

I'd love to post a pic, but they have to be like the size of avatars because this site is so picky with size of pics. My dig cam's pics are way to big....
