pulled an original tilt and a front sway bar and brackets for $80 off a truck that was being parted in the local paper... deals can be had, but you gotta be persistent and patient...

vendors and swap meets are generally not the place where you'll find stuff dirt cheap.... ya gotta find it before the middle man does.

That's more like it bigvinnie, they ARE out there. Sounds like I struck a few nerves. My money has to buy more than just a column for this truck, I can wait.

Thats like you going to the car dealership and telling them that you won't pay what they want because you think they are money making crooks and all they want to do is get rich off of you.... well you might could do that but you damn sure aren't going to drive away in a new car...

Dang it John, I told you to let me know when you got those AM/FM and NOS grille assemblies in. Do you have any more of those $7 factory 72 only tow hooks?

Swap meets can yield VERY good deals. At Portland I bought 3 radio deletes with clips, 1 67 Panel/Suburban back-up lens, and a very nice A/C control with switch for the grand total of $15.00 Could have bought 2 more deletes but they had slight dings. Last year I bought a 63 Pontiac tilt column complete for $30.00. You just have to look hard. The deals are there.

Keep looking - Bob

Nothing like good conversation.....

It's very hard to get people to actually sell these parts. I listed several parts I needed, and so far I have 2 of about 8 of them. All are fairly common parts, and no the problem was not me being tight with money. Most people are telling what they have or may have and never get back to me with a price. So who's to blame here. Don't reply to threads if you are not going to follow thru.

Now that everybody has had a laugh at me.....I would like to post an apology for those I offended. I had another of those not so good days and spoke harshly before thinking. There are lots of great sellers and lots of great prices, some better than others. SORRY...............
