scrap or sale?

I have a bunch of parts from a 1970 chevelle, and some from my 72 truck, most of which are crap. But in this pile of crap there are parts that actually might be worth something to somebody.
Like a 2 barrel intake manifold, a 4 barrel manifold. a th350 transmission, a pair of pre 70 12 bolt axles for drum brakes.
I guess what I'm curious about is whether it would be worth it or not to try and sale these parts. Or should I just throw them in the bed of the truck with the rest of the scrap metal I'm taking down to the recyclers.

Depends on what you have. Put a list together on the parts board and see what happens. Can't hurt.

yeah, definately make a list of stuff that you have before you scrap it. That TH350 has got to be worth something...as long as the case isn't broke then it is rebuildable.

I do still have the 70 chevelle, but it's not for sale. It was wrecked and I blew the motor, so most of the parts are destroyed. Everything that can be saved will be, and will one day she will run again.

The trasmission worked fine when I pulled it. It was the motor that was destroyed, not the transmission. I don't even think it really needs a rebuild, just a cleaning.

I'd love to, but on the parts board you have to put a price, and I have NO idea what this stuff is worth.

One word: EBAY If the parts are worth anything, the bidders will let you know with the number of bids. Chevelle parts practically sell themselves.

i'd be interested in that two barrel intake, but it would probably cost more to ship than it's worth...

Probably sitting one a bit of "$" there. I agree with bobs409, use ebay to figure out what stuff is worth...or just list it dirt cheap!
