AM/FM Radio Question
Would you believe I went looking for an air cleaner for my truck and the only thing I could find was this AM/FM radio. What luck! Now, can anyone tell me if this is a van or truck radio? And what knobs would be correct for a '67?
Sorry for the X ~ hopefully I've got it right this time. Thanks Last edited by My Boy's Toy; 04-15-2005 at 09:49 PM. |

Thats a van radio but will still work in our years of trucks, am/fm was not an option in 67 but I think the knobs from an am radio will fit.

BTW/ If you can find knobs from a 67 am radio they will have a knurled edge, thats the only difference between the 67 and 68-72 knobs.

You can buy the truck lense for that radio. Then the only difference is the font of the numbers, and I believe you can buy an overlay sticker to change those, but the number font is really tough to tell anyway.

The "delco" is different. It is more of script on the truck models, and it's in the lower right hand corner instead of the lower left. Most board vendors carry the,

Radio knobs look like these in 1967...though these are the deluxe radio knobs from a 67. The 67 knobs are knurled on the outside rim. The lens looks like this and the inner decal also is like this...this is a NOS radio pic. The radio pic shows the deluxe 68-72 knobs on it. The inner dials are the same regardless of era. The knobs can come off an AM or AM/FM radio..there's no difference.
The difference between deluxe knobs and not are the not ones dont have the metal stainless trim center pieces and are all black. That will pretty much answer it.
