We got it running for a little bit, just waiting for a new TH400 Yoke from Hughes to go with a totally new and HD trans. Sounded awesome out the headers!

Nice Motor!
Where did you get it and how much did it cost. How about the shipping. I was really thinking about the ZZ383. What kind of problems did you run into with the installation process. Just let the info flow>>>>>>>>

Ordered the motor thru my Chevy Dealer - had a #$@@ of a time finding one, they are very popular. Shipped straight to the dealer.
Install was easy. I'd already purchased and installed a complete March Pulley setup, power steering etc (new radiator etc) so that part all bolted right on the new motor. Converted from the original glide to a built TH400 at the same time. Had to order a different convertor, (sent the wrong one) and found out that not all Yokes are the same for the trans. Found a 3/4 ton driveshaft and the local yard, replaced all the u-joints, and have a yoke coming. All that's left is figuring out the tranny col linkage, and welding up the headers to the exhaust system. Still looking for a tranny cover - here's an underneath shot... <p>
