Post 327's Info needed

I've got a '69 327(in the blazer) the guy said was out of a '69 Impala(I think). The motor runs good and I was wanting to know if there was anything special about the motors, i.e. Did they make suped-up models from the factory etc. The thing has a 2 bbl. and the fella said with a 4 bbl it was rated at over 300hp factory. Any truth to this? Anyone know much about these motors? Any help is appreciated.
Thanks,
Matthew

Yes, the 4 barrel, with fuelie heads(1.94/1.5 valves )was rated @ 300hp. there were some that were hotter,L79/350hp with a hydraulic cam(Nova),365 hp Vette,& 375hp vette(fuel injected). Both had solid cams,& 2.02/1.6 valves.....69 longhorn

If you post the #'s off the front of the block, on the horizontal pad in front of the passenger side head, some one on here can decode it for you and tell you EXACTLY what it is.
