Cheyenne Superman a myth??

I have e-mailed and called both numbers on the site. No reply and no answers. Get a message to call 10-10 something but that does not work as well.
Anyone?

the area code has changed to 325 instead of 915 like the website says.... not sure they check their email that much. He's still there, still in business and he knows his stuff about these trucks.

He goes out on the road alot this time of year.I know he hits Charlotte,Carlisle,Pate...He must home school his kids or something, the whole family is always involved. One of the disadvantages of a small business.Hard to keep all ends covered.Be patient,he`s worth the wait.

I talked to them twice this week. I called at around 3pm central. Like Purs was saying the area code has changed.

Thanks guys. I called the 800 number and a recording said to call 10-10-275-00 or something like that. That did not work and the other number did not work either. Both numbers were taken from the front of his catalog.
I am very interested in a few things and would like to speak with him. I will try again.

are you dialing 325-691-1944? I checked the local "American Classifieds" where he runs his ad and it still had the same number he's been using for years except for the area code.

Then perhaps he needs to change his catalog number. As I said, I printed his catalog and called both of the numbers shown. Click your link and it shows 800-399-7851 and 915-691-1944. One does not connect and the other gave me the 10-10-so on number which did not work either.
Usually when an area code changes a message is given stating " the new number is". I did not even get that message.
Now I know the area code has changed but he still did not answer all day today.
If someone does speak with him, suggest he answer or check his e-mail and update his website. Maybe I am the only one trying to reach him, maybe not.
I really would like to talk with him.
Thanks.

don't know about his 800 number. I bet he is out of town, probably Pate Swap meet if that is this weekend. When he travels to shows and Swap Meets his operation basically shuts down. And like I said, I don't think he checks his email much. I think he operates on the basis that if you need to contact him, you'll keep calling until you get him... Some people are willing to wait, others aren't. Those that have done business with him know that he knows alot about these trucks and has quality parts.

All of this information is based on my experience with him 4-5 years ago so things may have changed some since then.... All I can tell you is that if you want to talk to him bad enough, keep calling 325-691-1944

Good Luck.

PS. I'm willing to bet he has exactly what you are looking for in your sig.

I am just saying that if an individual has a business and the mindset that if you want something bad enough, you will keep trying to reach him, the least he could do is provide potential customers with the correct number to try.
I can wait, just not forever.
Thank you for your help and I will try again next week.

Me too.15 years ago I bought chrome coat hook, parking brake handle, cowl vent knobs, dash knobs, dash bezel, headliner trim, and ACC/OFF/START plaque.Beautiful stuff. Also bought a rebuilt tilt he did in saddle and a chrome glovebox door w/woodgrain(vinyl)to match the instr.cluster.If anyone`s checking into those shoulder harnesses, see if they are true reproductions using original latch/buckles from our years. You know, the kind you can pop a beer cap with.

Re: Cheyenne Superman a myth??

I dug up this ancient thread on Cheyenne Superman to ask... does he have new or repro parts that you cannot otherwise get through LMT or Classic Industries, etc?

Thumbs up Re: Cheyenne Superman a myth??

Well, Gary is not a myth...nor did I "hit him in the face"! I did get to met the "Myth" in person...I picked up some almost perfect 68' donor doors for my 70'. I could have spend all day talking to this man who has forgotten more than most of us know!

Gary & Connie have slowed down, both his sons have their on ventures now. Don't get me wrong, Gary is still working on trucks, just at his on pace. I have never had any problem getting ahold of Gary, if you want GREAT product from someone who knows what they talking about....Cheyenne Super-Man is the "MAN"!! Enjoy the pics!

Gary taking a call about parts while I was there.

One going through full resto.

Gary's Parts store....."WOW".

Small part of Gary'd truck part yard!!

*Gary runs this business out of a shop on his property, I would give him a call first if you plan on stopping by. If you are looking for something...give him a call.

Re: Cheyenne Superman a myth??

Update. Gary is still in business, but has scaled back because (as mentioned above) he's a one-man shop. Still has a lot of parts trucks and parts, he's worth a call if you're looking for something hard to find.

I called him today asking about a wheel hub for my '69 C10, he pulled one, cleaned it up VERY nicely, and threw in the bearings. Plus he showed me some of his project trucks, and we visited and talked old cars. Hes a nice guy, VERY knowledgable.
