Look what I came across today !!

Thought I'd stop at this old junk yard I used to go to many years ago to see if by chance, they would have a core support and left front fender for my 70 GMC. Look at this. A 68 GMC !! Got both for $125.00 and they are rust free. The fender just has a couple of tiny dents and even has a good battery tray in it. The hood is in great condition with just a hit of surface rust. What amazing, is this truck is in Pa. and no rust !!

This even has a complete V6 4spd in it and is a 3/4T. I never new that you could get a V6 in a 3/4T. The bed is trash. I may consider taking the hood. I don't need it though.

The numbers on the door jam are: CM20D-PB78758

Just goes to show, if you wait long enough, good things do come to you.....

Steve

Nice catch there. Now you nee to go run back and get you the rest for spares

But that really is amazing for PA. That has less rust than some of the 1 year old vehicles I owned when I lived up yonder.

The V-6 Guys Will FREAK!

Not a whole lot of those around. Nice score. We are not used to that kind of stuff on a PA truck. Bye, Hot Rod

Some things I would look into picking over:

The hood and letters (looks rust free, that's a good $100 at least)
The seat belts
Wiring harness
Dash gauges
Cowl panel
Any emblems on the truck
rear view mirror
sun visors

I never thought about it, but I saw someone selling refurb'd badges and they retail for around $40. You can probably get them for $5, clean em up with some steel wool, retouch the paind (if necessary) and make a decent profit shipping them for $5 and selling for $30 on fleabay.

....
