I know this isnt the suspention section , But I want to do my upper and lower control arms and I was hopeing you all could tell me the best place to get the stuff. I went to local auto zone , They have all the ball joints but they say the A arm shafts and bushings are not available. So where do I get the stuff cheap as possible. Thanks for any advice and help

I'd like to know as well. I think you can even install later parts if you use the ball joints and all. I would also like to know where to get lowered spindles. Good luck Mario.....

I priced out ALL the parts you need to rebuild the front-end and found the cheapest price for Moog parts on www.summitracing.com. I did not bother to price out other manufacturers.

I was able to find the upper A arm shaft bushings at Pep Boys. Both autozone and Pep Boys had the upper ball joint I needed but Pep Boys was way more expensive. You need to check around.

I ordered my entire front-end rebuild kit from Early Classic Enterprises - all Moog parts right to my door. Everything I needed minus new control arms. It was expensive, but I could call them during their business hours and they'd help me, and they knew what they were doing. They even sent me out replacements when it was obvious some of the stuff they sent me was wrong. Good service.

Thanks for the reply`s I will call around more tommarrow. I was hopeing the unavailable story I got from Auto Zone was just from them. I looked at a couple board vendors and they told me they cant compete with local parts stores on the a arm parts. I dont want to go with lowered spindles but I am going to put some lowered springs in and I figured while I`m in there I may as well do some real work on it .

You may want to check with Brothers too. They are having a spring sale which is suppose to last until may 31st.

I've bought all my front end parts from "PST". They have just about anything you need for the front end. They sell in kit form. Takes all the guess work out.......they've been in business for years and are at major auto swap meets.....

Remember this is the steering on your truck! Go with a good well respected name for the parts not generic. Moog and PST I know are good companies. I did a 66 impala with moog and it was a tight set. I did a 63 impala with PST nice parts but there instructions left alot to be desired, so I pulled out my old moog instructions from the 66 and it all came together just as good.

Howdy:
I have this very project in progress on my 2WD '67. Was able to find everything through Advance Auto Parts, and in several different brands, with MOOG being the highest priced overall- I choose mostly TRW. If you have a store locally, you can save a BUNDLE on shipping, plus not having to ship something back if it is wrong. Just my 2 cents.
