Thanks Randy, you da man. 68, yeah, they're about the best thing about the truck.
Don, once I figure out how to do this myself, I'll post some more pics and one has the Camaro and the truck together.

Nice truck and what's the deal with the oil press. gauge on top of the sending unit? Gotta get a set of the rally wheels but I don't think I've ever seen 'em on a GMC.

My cousins and uncle built the motor in the truck and while they were doing a lot of tinkering under the hood, they had a pressure gauge lying around so they just t'd off the light sending unit and put the guage there so they could watch the pressure. I'm putting aftermarket gauges in a cluster that I have that's someone previously cut for 2 1/4 inch gauges. The good thing is it pegs the guage when cold and has very good pressure when warm. 67c10, believe it or not, the Z still has the computer on it and it still works. Ranger, it's an 81. I'ts in VERY nice shape, just desparately needs paint.

Thats awesome man! A buddy of mine had one but had no idea how to work on cars...I have been trying to get him to sell it to me for a long time now. Unfortunately he moved and got rid of it or something like that*sobs*. Oh man, that puppy had a big loppy cam in it and sounded awesome. It needed some small alignment body type work and a little other engine type work but it was in pretty good shape.

When ya have some free time I'd love to see some closer pics of it.

Yeah I've got to get some better pics of it. All the ones I have are on film and my scanner is busted. The pics here are because I had my pictures developed on a CD. I'm sure I'll break down soon and buy a digital camera.

Amazing what a set of valve covers and an aircleaner will do to an engine's self esteem.

the 250 is nowhere near stock. It's 9 to 1 compression, .40 over, with a header, RV type cam, ported head, Clifford intake and a Holley 390. 3sp with 3.73 gears. I don't know the specs on the cam, my uncle who built the motor couldn't remember. I'd say it will pretty much hang with the Z28, which is a stock 350, Turbo 350 with 3.08 gears.

Yeah, I've seen it, but never stopped to talk to them. Pretty cool looking truck. I like the flames down the side too. I also noticed a GMC in the neighborhood while taking my daughters for a wagon ride, so I'm curious to see if it was someone just visiting or another one. That would make 5 in the neighborhood if so.
