I picked up a radio delete in excellent shape out of a late 70's chevy. Are these things worth anything. It is the first one i have seen for this body style.

You see them from time to time

Usually go for about 20 bucks or so. I'll probally get one for my truck eventually, but not yet, I've got more important things to worry about at the moment

i reckon there is no such thing as a stupid question but this one may be...lolol...what in the heck is a radio delete????? thanks

It basically covers the spot where the radio sits, making it look like there never was even a place for a stereo. I personally think they are awesome for installing DIN style stereo head units in, cause you can cut them in such a way that there is no gap at all between the DIN unit, and the factory stereo opening, which is a bit too big.

Also quite good for doing what they are designed to do -- Delete the radio hole :P

why radio delete and not radio plate or cover plate??? never knew there was a factory or after market for this though
