Eureka!!!
Tinkered with the 70 today. It has smelled like mouse since I got it home. Opened the vent doors and found a mouse house(more like apt bldg). So I am trying to get my shop vac nozzle in behind the vent door, and the door comes loose. Oh SH***t! Then I look at the back of the vent door and discover the pivot pin is spring loaded, so the door can be removed, what a marvelous idea. Also pulled the metal backs off my util buckets and found the orig parts tags on the seat backs and cushions. They were all dated 22 Dec 1969. Either my 70 was an early 70, or GM had alot of these seats waiting for homes.

I'd check your heater core too for some mouse 'suburbs', they love the area.
