Edelbrock Carb 1404
This week end I'll get HEI, new plugs and wires.
The next step is carb and intake. I need sugestions. Pure stock 350

Agreed, Edelbrock 600 electric choke, no problems and a pretty good price to boot!

You can't go wrong with a 1406 and a performer intake.

They have an offroad spring kit, I have not had any problems with mine and I was running my truck on the Dunes with some serious inclines with no problems but if it is 4X4 I recommend getting the kit cinch to install.

The one I had on my 83K5 worked great. But adding the offroad kit is a good idea.

Never cared for the performer intakes personally, think their overated.
The Edelbrock carbs run okay but I like the way a real/original Carter AFB runs better. All depends on the set up though... |

I have two blazers, pretty much the same set up, motor/gears ect...one has a Edlebrock carb and a Performer manifold, the other has a Carter carb and a Holley Contender manifold. The one running the Carter/Holley set up IMO runs way better and has more seat of the pants power to it, better response too. Changing over the first one to a Carter/Holley street dominator set up soon. It's sitting on the bench waiting for me to get the time. |

Hey while were on the topic, has anyone had any experience with the edelbrock thunder avs off road (or whatever its name is). My buddy has a 650 one he is willing to sell me cheap since it was too small for his motor. Any goods or bads, im guessing anyhting is better they my q-jet.

Wingman: I have no operational experience with the AVS, but I hear they are OK. I picked up a Carter AVS and ran the numbers on the stovebolt site and some one came back that mine was for a Mopar 440 big block. "AVS" means adjustable vacuum secondary.
