need help knowing what I have

I just bought a storage shed full of motor parts for $20.00. I have determined that it contains two complete 305 motors and 1 mysterious motor. It has no casting numbers like the other two. It has a bore of 3 7/8 or close too it but alot bigger than the 305's. The valve covers have CHEVROLET stamped in the top and have no oil filler holes in them. could this be a 327? how can I tell what it is?

Thanks SCOTT

my guess would be it's a 283, the 327 has a 4" bore, the 283 has a 3.875" bore, neither will have fill holes in the valve covers, and no bolt holes in the heads for accessories as well as both have Chevrolet stamped in the valve cover.....hope this helps
