The grain doesn't look right on that one. However, think of the possibilities. Maybe a nice cherry or Mahogany?

That's similar to the ones a Marine buddy custom made for me back in '77. We used 3/8" plywood, a bevel on top of the panels, 2" holes for the window crank and door handle, some router action on the inside to clear the regulators and 4] 3/8 holes for the mounting screws at the bottom. Topped it off with some spray spar varnish and it's been on there ever since. Every now and then I run a cloth saturated with Olde English furniture polish and it still looks good. Well OK, the panels have a lot of "character" by now.
Though of doing the same treatment on my '71 Jimmy -- that once had a "Custom" package -- repeating the panels on the long inside walls.

Real wood on the factory door panel as a trim detail(like`72 "fake" panel)looks good.All wood looks like a homemade truck.Ever seen a wood grille?
