'68 BB Purple Truck Owner in Spokane
I don't recall your board name but I am heading to Northern Idaho this coming weekend and will be cruising through Spokane. I would like to stop by and see your truck. I could look over those split rims you were keeping for me as well. Let me know if you are going to be around.

No, it's me, thecatseye66--
I have the 68 BB CST Camper Special with 42,000 miles that is my avatar. It looks like stock Vermillion but it has a "special paint" code and factory hand-painted pinstriping. It needs buffed and some small rust areas fixed yet but it looks good from a distance anyway. I'm new to the board but once I found this place I can't stop coming back. I paid a year's subscription to become a member and think it's the best thing since the HEI and disc brakes! Anyway, stllookn, I've got the split rims but I read that you bought some at the Monroe swap meet. I put on some great looking stock 16.5x8.25 rims that hold the orignal caps and some new tires just three weeks ago. I rebuilt the front wheel cylinders (the truck sat for nearly 5 years) and I put in an HEI this past weekend. I won't be using the split rims/tires but I wanted to keep them at least for a set of rollers if I need them. If you've got some rollers I could trade you for that would be good. I don't even care if they are Maypop 2000's--anything will work.

catseye...Thanks for getting back to me. Yes I did buy some ($10 for 4!). I had forgotten that you were saving some for me. The ones I got need sand blasting and cleaning up. If yours are better shape I will trade. If you want some tubeless rims as rollers, I have those too. I am going to make a "show" set out of the splits so I want to start with the best product possible. Do yoy have pics? I can post the pics of the ones I have if you don't and you can just tell me if yours are any better.
72fwd, Unfortunately, I will not be driving the Longhorn or the stepside. I am still sorting out on Phase 1 of 6 on the Longhorn. I got it running but need to fix a few items. I had to switch manifolds, water pumps, carbs etc. to get it going...lots of little details...but it is ALIVE at least! Not ready for prime time, though...LOL!
