Ceremonial hanging of the grill…
Well, I finally hung the front sheet metal on the Blazer this weekend. Hood, fenders, grill and bumper. It’s been a long time since it’s looked like a truck. Take a look at the last picture and tell me she’s not smiling…!

Thanks everyone for the thumbs up.
The truck was originally ochre, so this was a radical departure. (The ironic thing is that I have since grown to like the ochre...) The paint now is PPG 508 Dark Blue Metallic bc/cc. It really is a beautiful color but it's hard to capture in a picture. No outdoor pics to speak of yet, but very soon. MikeS: It's cool that you're from / know this area. As soon as I get it on the road, I really want to cruse to the top of Mt. Evans (14,000+ ft) and test the EFI. While I'm there I'll snap some serious outdoor pics & share w/ everyone. Resto

Ochre
I kinda like the color ochre also. Your blazer looks great. I bought my blazer in Gunnison, Co. back in Oct of 2001. Drove it back to NC. I can't wait to see more pictures of your blazer. B.B.

Thanks again, guys.
Bob, basically everything on the front is repop: inner & outer grill, bumper, parking lights, emblem, headlight bezels... The headlights are H4s. Edit: Thought I'd add that I really had no issues with the repop parts fit & finish. It all went on easily. I had to rig a c-clamp with a short socket to get the little plastic inner grill holders into place. The only minor issue I ran into had to do with the passenger side front fender which is a Goodmark. It's a good quality fender and fits perfectly, but there is one minor detail behind the headlight bezel... no room for the upper left headlight bezel screw. Had to drill a hole for clearance.
