AC lever control
In the LMC catalog, in the AC section they show the levers separatly for AC. Does that sound right? If it is, how do you guys change them? Grind the small rivets off the back--drill and tap or what? Would be cheaper than buying the whole assy. when 1 lever is broken.

Usually the defrost lever is the first to break. I bought mine from www.bowtiebits.com and it was made by Cold Air. After using it, I was very happy. Don't know what LMC is selling, usually their parts aren't the best you can get.
The kit had well written instructions to remove the pin, drill a hole and use the included bolt and spacer. Works great. There's a reason the lever broke, replace the cables while you have it apart.

Top lever broke, already took care of the cables. Pulled them out and dumped the graphite speedo lube down them and worked them good. Readjusted the cables--good to go. Still have the broken unit, in good shape xcept for the one lever.

Can anybody tell me why there is such a range in prices? I have seen everthing from $7.95 (GMCPauls) to $23 (Cheyenne Super Man).
