frame differences?

i was wondering if a 1964 chevy truck frame would be able to unbolt and bolt onto say like a 71 chevy truck? i guess my main question is are the frames interchangeable? even the body mounts?

Thank you
Rat

I'm going off a 3 year old memory here, but I think some one on here said they were real close, but not a direct bolt in.

The only difference on a bare frome on a 67 to a 71, would be the dimple for the power steering box would be present on the later one, and also, the 67 doesn't have provisions for a big block. I know there is a spot on the forward passenger rail that is flaired up, that is for big block fuel pump room...
That is all that would be different to my knowledge.

There is less clearance for the engine between the frame rails on a 67. The frame rails are wider. This causes problems when installing headers.

I had a SWB 67 and it had the dimple from the factory for the power steering pump.

ok thanks, is there a problem with putting a big block into a 67's frame though? i am not worried about headers since it will be fender headers going into it.......

Also power steering dimple doesnt matter, not going to use power steering

Thanks everyone for the help
