My first GMC

Hi guys and gals. I joined just recently to start reading up on 60-66 chevys and GMC's. I bought a 65 GMC LWB with the idea of parting and using the SM420 in a jeep project. After getting it home I kinda got interested in the engine, the GMC only 305 V6. So it's still in one piece and I'm gonna try and get it road worthy so my girls have something BIG to drive. It's gonna need some TLC. I'm a Ford guy really, but I love the body style on the 60-66 GM trucks. "Other" projects include a '60 Willy's pickup and a '47 CJ2A. As I start this project I hope I'll have something to contribute to this great forum. There's a good knowledge base here. I'm a metallurgist when I'm not working on a truck or a bike or a tractor, so if anyone has metal questions, component failure questions, welding questions, etc, please don't hessitate to PM me. I'll try and post some pics so you can all see my new "challenge". Brad
