Anyone making kick panels?
Is anyone on here making kick panels for our trucks? I need some that can hold a 6.5" mid and a 1" tweeter. I'm getting ready to start doing the system on my Blazer and am in need of some kick panels.

If you want to make you own I would make them from 1/4 in plywood and cover them with foam of quilting batten from walmart and then the fabric of your choice. If you dont, then I would go to roddoors.com. They have full interior kits or just individual parts too. They have pillar covers with tweeters built in also.

why dont you buy a 2 way 6 1/2 inch speaker with a tweeter built in it? that way you only need to make one hole in the kick panel.

bought some abs plastic ones from chevy duty. used them as template for fiberglass ones. put infinity reference 6.5 components in them because they are only 2" deep flush mounted the tweeters in the roof up by the visors.the only problem I ran into was speaker grills do not fit behind the e-brake

I don't really trust myself to do a job like this. I was hoping somebody on here already had a mold done. I guess I'll most likely have to go to a local car audio place and see what they can do.

If he has more than one set let me know . Mike

Greasemonkey made his own, but i think another member offered to make them for sale. I can't remember his name though. I think my name is on his list. They were around $80 or in that area.

I made my own, but don't have time and money to make mass quantities. Board member bagged74 took some orders because he had the capability to produce large amounts of panels, but after that, I don't know what happened with him. Maybe PM him?
