Mine`s glossy.I wonder how it got to be uniformly flat.It has also had the latch mechanism installed.I wonder if that`s all N.O.S.also.

I was wondering the same thing specialk, even 35 year old parts would still look a bit glossy from the original factory coating and if that tailgate was NOS, how would you know when there isn't a GM sticker on it?

I know the guy that is selling it he has had that gate for many years , Long before they started repoing them. Also you can see where the gm sticker was
just inside where the latch mounts. |

The sad thing is he that guy knows what he has and sets his reserves sky high. He had a long bed I was bidding on. It went to $412 and reserve still wasn't met. The next time around I think the reserve was $600 w/o the gate $700 with.
No one was bidding then. Mike

I`m just thinking it might have been on a truck a while. That would make it "Nearly New".Not exactly N.O.S.I was wondering what those hub-caps are that are listed in "Seller`s Other Items"?Anyone familiar with these?
