Stock Tach Hook up How ?

It's a HEI. Stock Tachfor points I have no wiring just the clip to hold the wire in the cap. Could you please specify how to hook it up colour and gauge of wire ?

The stock tach wiring is pink for the positive hookup and it plugs into the ignition "unfused" location on the fuse panel. The wire to the distributor is brown and both wires are a 14 gage. The brown wire to the distributor plugs into the "Tach" terminal on the HEI.

The tach gets its ground through the case when it is fastened to the dash bezel.
