Tach wiring question....
I just picked up a tach dash for my 69 Short step. I don't really need the tach harness do I? It looks as if I run the coil wire to the tach side of my HEI and the 12V to switched power. I could run a fuse if necessary. Is this all it is? my Underhood isn't stock and I'm not looking for correctness.
John

yes that will work just fine. I suggest you put a 3amp fuse in line to protect the tach. Randy

I just installed an old Sun Tach in my 69 today.
It had 4 wires, red black and green to the tach side of my HEI, where does the white one go? |
