I used Dupont Centari "Sunflower Yellow". I think it was used around 70 on Vettes or Chevelles.

Sunflower Yellow was a '71 and '72 Corvette color. Code 912. It may have also been the same as the Chevelle yellow.

Peter,

I notice that you used the 7 inch wheels on the front. Is that because you feel that the 8 inch stick out too far or was there a clearance problem with 8 inchers? Many of the pictures I see look like the 8s have too much offset for the front.

You are correct Basket case. I test fitted a set of 235/70 on the front with 8" ralleys and did not like how far they stuck out. Both the 7 & 8 I have are the same 4" backspacing, with the 7's missing an inch on the outside. I really like how mine looks. The wheels that is....heck, I like the whole truck.

That wheel/tire combo definitely has the right look. Thanks for figuring that out for me.

Saves me a lot of test fitting. Is it just the reflection or is your gas cap gone? If so did you use a Blazer tank and where is the filler?

Is it too obvious that I really like your truck?

You are correct, the gas tank is gone from behind the seat. I used the Blazer tank with fuel filler thru floor in back. I used polished aluminum checkerplate over plywood for floor.

I don't really like how it fills, very slow with small hole.
