Radiator overflow bottles...did our blazers come with one?
I don't think I've seen any sold buy truck resto places(GMCPaul, Chevy duty, etc) and was wonderiing if they even had them. The question pertains to my 69 k5. I was looking for a replacement but I'm not even sure the one I have is original....

There was an option for a factory one, a dealer installed one and plenty of aftermarket one's. Without a picture, hard to tell what you might have.

My question is where does one buy a new one? Everytime I fill my rad, it pukes the top 2 inches onto the pavement . The level doesn't change from there, but everytime I check I add.

Puking 2" doesn't sound right. Have you replaced your radiator cap recently?
Try sending Frank (PICKMUP) a P.M. for the overflow bottle. Radiator overflow bottle thread...

my 72 suburban just has a hose that goes straight down from a little tube by the radiator cap and dumps right on the ground.
My radiotor has a "fill line" that is marked about 2-3 inches UNDER the radiator cap. this is probably why it pukes out the fluid. maybe you are overfilling it??? look and see if yours has this marking... |

My 71 Jimmy doesn't have an overflow bottle either and it also pukes if the radiator is filled to the top. I thought it was a problem, but it makes sense to not fill it all the way. I installed a 4 core and don't think it has a fill line.

I have a 71 GMC 3/4 and a 68 GMC Suburban. Both puke 2" this is normal operating height for puke style radiators. I got very lucky the other day on e-bay and got a stock overflow bottle in excellent shape pulled from a 72 GMC Sierra Grande that was a stock option on the glove box sticker for 30.00+ 8 shipping from Canada. It is sweet~! Keep an eye out and post a wanted to buy on the parts board you may come up with one~!

The overflow tube is lower than the top of the radiator.I was always been told to fill radiators to within 1-2" from top for expansion.I think overflows came along as an environmental thing.
