It's a safety feature by GM to keep air circulating through the cab.

This topic gets thrown around alot

No, It was done to prevent noxious gasses from accumulating in the cab. Mine does it too.

Mine started doing that and it was the (I think they called it a relay) where the wire plugs into. Chenged it out and now works fine (like it is suppose to).

The blower fan running is a feature of the flow-thru power ventilation system on the trucks.

Mine has always done it. GM use to make an updated HVAC control module to eleminate the fan running. Two different ones Ive seen were a cheap resistor that elimitated low function "solder in, low off" and a whole new controll unit. If your hunting around the bone yard sometimes you can come across one of the two. Ive never seen one on a truck still one the road maybee the noxious gasses from the fan not running caused a crash.

I think my situation was a little different. Mine ran even when you turned the truck off. Had to unhook the battery. That is when I found out it was the relay. Did not know blowers were on all the time when the key was on.

..Yep ...stone stock..... the Dually has a Master Hauler interior.

My Dually and the '79 Burb window wipers, would for no apparent reason, cycle for a time or two , then shut off never to be flicked again until needed...

I have heard from other '77 to '87 owners having the same problem.
No big deal, we figured the .........aliens did it.

I have seen non-A/C trucks without the blower feature thats all. And the intermittent wiper sweep is usually caused by a delay module going bad.
