General doesn`t make the 16.5s anymore according to their site. This sucks!I`ve been hearing it said that 16.5s are being phased-out for a while. What,so they can start making all these goofy frickin`jumbo gum bands for this passing trend(which ain`t lasting long with the gas going up)??I guess basketball and football players along with rappers can always afford it.Of course, they can afford to have their own custom made ones to go with their sneakaz.Maybe someday they`ll go back to making trucks and truck equipment for what they`re intended for.OH!,am I ranting?Yeah,I hate trends coming along and messing up what I`ve truly enjoyed for years and intend to forever.`Cuz ah knowz wut ah likez!

Found/ordered mine here.
http://www.tirepackage.com/systems.a...d=16&cat=Tires

I went with the Interco SSR's
Got em mounted on some old school 8 lug slots and they look pretty sweet.

The only choice in my book is BFG radial all terrains, or radial mud terrains. On my heavy '90 Sub (6500 pounds with one ton running gear) I got over 60,000 miles out of a set of them. Then went with some more again and got another 60,000 miles. These tires wear better than anything out there.

Looks like it`s BFG or Interco for 35s.I`m looking to get a few sets since I have two now and want one more. Why 16.5?Vintage,I have a set of(5-8.25)Turbo-Vec finned aluminums,a set of(4-9.75)white powdercoated OEM-type,and want a set of 9.75 aluminum slots like Kurt has.I was hoping to find one set of tires for sand like the Kelly AWRs I have on the OEM-types now(33").All other wheel/tire combos will be 16".I have a set of 8"AR23s,8"Weld Outbacks, and 10" Black Crawler-type.There are some new tires out and some are even overlooking little ol`16s.Go figure, signed,Ol`Stick in the Mud.

Its hard to beat the wear of a BFG mud terrain. (for mud tires that is). My freind had some 33" Radial Swampers and after hard use, alot of burnouts and powerslides he switched to 33" BFG mudterrains. The swampers went bald in like 6 monthes with hardly any street miles. With the same driving style, alot of burnouts, the BFGs lasted like a year and a half. but only like 15K miles. Like I said, Burnouts were a daily...more like hourly thing for this truck.
