Rear Diff Gear Ratio

I am going to have my 9" built in about a week. Wanted to ask you guys/gals what gear you recommend. The shop that is building it said to go with 3.50 but I was originally going to go with 3.73. I am running 295/40/20 tires on the rear. My tranny is a built TH350 with 3200 stall. Motor is a strong BB402. I want it to be streetable but able to post a good time at the track also. Any comments/suggestions would be great. What will the RPM be at 60 MPH with different ratios?

Go with the 3:50's. IF you a have a "built" Bigblock you wont need a low gear to get movin' and you will still have a good hiway RPM

I'm using 3.42's (12 bolt rear) in my 468 BBC with a th400. I have not got it done yet but should be about the right gear for playing and driving.
