WOW, I wonder where Golddigger went..
This is the first custom 73-87 I ever say. I LOVED it way back when. I just happened across it today and thought I would share. It is called "Nasty Habits" now, but it is still GoldDigger to me. It is for sale now. Dial up wanting, the images are HUGE! Ken is going to love this one.
Here is a link to a tiny one: http://jspaininc.com/

Chris, maybe YOU should buy it!
I wonder whatever happened to all the gold plated stuff that was on it? That truck, back in it's heyday, was the schiznit and world famous!

What is so different about this one than all of the other ugly ones you guys tear apart that are sold on ebay?

Some of the vehicles people post links to on here are vastly different. The quality isn't always there, and the style is...well...you get the idea. I don't completely agree with the rip-fest that take place here, but I also question some of these builders "style" at times.

I agree that it is a high quality build, but a few months ago there was a truck on ebay that looked identical and everybody picked it to death. I have to admit that if it had stock front sheet metal it would still be a bad ass truck, also that is one of the wildest carb/intake setups I have ever seen.

I remember reading about it in Truckin way back when it was half as full of crappy ads and still stapeled together.

what kind of valve covers...... looks like an old flathead, or some sort of overhead cam mustang motor.... it's a 350 though, odd, and very nice.

Guys this truck was leaps and bounds ahead of it's time way back when. Keep in mind that at that time it was not common to have every inch of a show car slicked out and painted. What you see as being just another smoothed out truck with an ugly front clip was once considered a rocket ship. There was nothing even remotely close to the quality of the build on a truck. This truck didn't raise the bar a notch, it raised it a foot. Great find Chris. If we could only find some quality photos from it's glory days...

It looks like it has a streetrod style dropped tube front axle. That's odd.
All of the comments here are related to why I am not interested in billet parts or 20" wheels and that sort of stuff. Those things go for a premium in the present, then just look dated a few years later. There is nothing wrong with them, of course. They just aren't my style. Chris, I only found one partial pic on my quick search on the net. I did however E-mail the ISCA and Truckin magazine and asked if they would happen to have any digital images or information they would like to share...but haven't heard back yet. I do know Truckin did a big feature on the truck, so hopefully they still have info on it.

OK guys, I did a little more snooping. As luck would have it, the pic I posted showed the name of the owner of Golddigger. So I did a Google search and found out the former owners name, work number, address and such. So I called the number and spoke with somebody there. The person I spoke with told me Rinny was in a conference, but he also told me I had the right person in regards to Golddigger. He took down my name and number and said he would have him call me. He asked what it was in regards to, so I told him my name, about this website and 73-87.com, and that there was a few of us who were interested in learning more and possibly obtaining pictures and such.
If I hear back from anyone, I'll keep you all posted! Chris, I forgot all about Golddigger...until you brought it back from the dead!

hahahaha, I did sent an email to ISCA also asking if they had any pictures. I remember seeing that name on there also. Didn't however go to the point of trying to contact him though, Nice job. I don't think I would ever forget that truck.
