Chevelle Rear springs
I have heard of people using chevelle rear springs before. Any idea of how much drop a stock chevelle spring will give?

The ones I'm running are about 5" drop. Have the adjustable track bar and relocated shocks.

Jeff, What year Chevelle did you get yours off? Are there any others that you know will work?

Do they compress much when you launch. Might be nice for the prostreet

I used 71 Chevelle s/w once. Real smooth ride, but no hauling capacity. About a 6-7" drop with my modified trailing arms. I now have 4" eibachs, rides good and can haul some luggage.

Thanks guys
I want a sport rate spring, so I was going to get a set of hotchkis chevelle springs. But it looks like i will be checking with eibach. I have had good luck with thier stuff in the past.

The ones I'm running are off of a 68-72. I'm sure any A-body car, chevelle-lemans-cutlass-buick special-monte carlo, would work. Just look at the springs and be sure they are rolled small at the ends to allow for mounting. The suspension does hook up pretty well, no tire hop, and it rides nice. Really never haul anything much however I have hauled about 150# for 300 miles and didn't squat. Hey they are cheap if you find them in a wrecking yard and easy to change so go for it.
