Here's another idea: Use a flat head screw with a flat washer, a piece of rubber cut the same size as the washer, insert in the hole then, another rubber, washer, and a nut on the backside, tighten to seal. You might have to form the washers some if the roof is curved.

I still like your idea of the rubber plug (painted of course) as the quickest, cheapest, easiest fix. Try looking for an old hardware store (like Ace, True Value..) they should carry rubber plugs. You never can find small items like this at the big hoome improvement places.

alright heres the deal, first of all, i've got emron paint that you can't fade into, so right now it has a rubber plug and silicone but the next time i get a problem with the cab, i'll take my mexi-visor off that i don't like and get those holes filled, get the antenna hole filled, and get whatever problem i have next filled, do you you think i should have colohusker weld a piece of metal on and wait to paint it, or get it all done at once?? im gonna reply right after this and post the pic for yall, is it ok to post picture of tits on this board?

The right thing to do would be to take it to a body shop and have them weld it along with any other holes that need filled, and have them paint it at the same time. Once I get some practice and get back in the swing of things, I could probably get the same welding results, but you'd still have to take it to them to have it painted, so you'd save time by having them do everything at once.

oh no you dont.....your not pulling me into this.....LOL!

Does it really matter if anyone believes its your truck or not......who cares??? You know its yours, so why does anything else matter. I think you mis-interpreted Junkyards post...he was only ribbin' ya in good humor, notice the "smileys" he used...thats the only way to show expression here on this big ol Internet. Its no big deal dude....let it go...we're all friends here. But, and I have to add this, using the language you used in the pic of your note will not make ya many friends (refering to someone as a female canine). That was a little too much. We're all here to help one another out and to make friends...not enemies. Relax, its much more fun that way...

Not fussin' at ya....only offering my advice...for whatever its worth.

BTW - Very Nice Truck!

you could also use 3m panel adhesive to bond a patch in the hole. That way you there will be no chance to over heat the roof and warp it. the adhesive is also a sealer and it works real good. we use it to bond door skins.

This threads gotten so far out of hand and not many real solutions given. A quick and temporary patch is to get some JB Weld. Sand out all of the rust first and clean. Put a piece of tape on the bottom side and then patch. After the stuff has cured, hit it with some enamel to help seal it up. Like I said, its temporary. Another quicker and even shorter lasting is aluminum tape. Of course, welding is the best and longest lasting method. Highly recommended, too.

Good lord....

I can't even go out and have a fun night anymore...sheesh...

This has gotten way out of hand.

And instead of deleting the inappropriate crap in this thread, I'm just locking it down. It's not worth my time to go through and fix all the BS.
