OMG I LOVE MY TRUCK. Ugly yellow and all

I have just enough pride that I am starting to beleive that its a sickness. I have posted some pics in the past. Now I am finding excuses to.

"hey everyone....look at my new front bumper"!!

I just love anything I can do to improve her look. Lipstick on a pig? I dont think its the case. Its like buying flowers for a average lady friend. Shes' mine and i like her.

Careful! I know we don't get much sun here, but when we do don't stay out at it too long! It can mess you up.
Alright...let me see the pics.

What's not to love about that truck? Mine is pretty close to it. Just replace the yellow with orange, add a set of rallys and a lot of rust. No matter the condition, I've always considered a 67-72 a head turner. And yours appears in nice condition!

Ugly yellow? I think the truck looks stunning. You don't like the color? What would you prefer it to be? Maybe I'm weird but I think the colors are great. BTW, what is the color code for the yellow on your glovebox decal?

The old bumper is at best, a good original. A couple dings, and a small amount of rust close to a bolt hole. I have been in shows with it and never had anyone point it out. If you want it for show, I'd pass, but if you want it for a driver get a hold of me. I'm near you. $20.00 fair for it? Let me know if you want it. DG

In 1988 when i bought the truck it was to tow a boat of 9600lbs dry weight + trailer. I found this old chevy with a Bb-400 and knew it was the rig that could pull it. I followed an ad and found this Yellow thing. I hoped that when I called the owner did'nt tell me it was that gruesome yellow.
Its all history now. I bought that ugly thing and kept it. It served me very well and was always up for the challenge. It's beauty was within, and I knew it was my girl. When it came time to dress her up I thought that Blue/white, orang/wht, or red/wht would be the way to go. In the end she served me so well for so many years I could'nt digrace her by telling her she needs to look any different. Yellow is starting to grow on me, and I can only offer a simple apology to my truck for being so shallow. OMG, it must be bedtime. I hope my wife dont ever see this. I'd have to change my name to Crazyoldman.

Good night

Silly...I will take yoiur old bumper if it does not have the turn signals in it. Otherwise it will look strange on my '68 or '67.

When you talk about ugly yellow, you would not be referring to the ochre color (that all TRUE Chevy truck fans learn to love or at least appreciate) or was it the pale yellow?

Unless Silly does not wish to ship, I am ahead of you for the bumper. So why don't you wait and see before cutting me out of the line up?

Super nice ride there Sillyoldman!

Yeah I can ship it. Let me know if you want it. Shipping is going to be expensive. Guessing around $40-50 bucks. Thats getting up around new bumper prices. Regardless its yours if you want it.

crazy4chevs; got you as a backup.

Castiron9; Yes it was painted locally. 4 months in the shop.

HeavyD; The color is described as "Dark Yellow".
