Blasting media?
I have some parts that I want to sand blast. Nothing big, little stuff. I have used play sand before that I filtered with a screen to remove the big stuff. Is there a sand that is fine enough to blast with? I have seen some piles of custruction sand around that looks pretty fine.

I used 30 grit from Home Depo.

i used silica sand from my farm and fleet. i't like$4.00 per 25 ib bag. I don't know the grit.

Use excellent respirators with sand. It can cause lung problems. You will never see a professional sandblaster without a hood and air.

around here paint suppliers both automotive and house carry sandblasting sand ,i use the finest they carry #00 about $4 per 50lbs
