posi rear help
i wanna swap my 1 legger to a posi. how wide are the rear axels on a 69. are there any other cars that use the same width. like if i find a posi unit from a chevelle or sumthing on ebay. what works guys i know sumone should know

nevermind guys found the threat i was trying to find with the widths. sumone posted saying 55 1/2 inches and 57 for 70-72 this sound right everyone

just a little fyi
car rear ends are different from truck rear ends. a car 12 bolt rear is different from a truck 12 bolt. so you gotta have a truck setup. also i think there are different carriers for different axle ratios. dont take this as gospel but i think if you have a 3 series posi setup you can have 3:08 to maybe 3:55 gears and a 4 series carrier can get you 3:73 to maybe 4:88 gears. some one who knows for sure chime in and say for sure also i think there are 2 different axle widths in the 67-72 models. again maybe some one here knows the low down on it. hope that helps some.
