Friday night went to Rich's (chickenwing) house and drank beer, finished bead blasting the intake manifold, drank beer, bead blasted a couple other parts, and cleaned the garage. Rich sure is a good guy to let me invade his garage during the week. Thanks Rich.

Saturday, painted some of the cleaned parts though I will need to re-bead blast the alternator housing again and spray it with the drips.

Sunday, went to the Turlock Swap Meet and picked up Snap-On a power steering pulley tool, WP pulley, another washer bottle bracket. Came home and messed with the pulleys without resolution. The tool works great.

Next week is the West Coast Nationals at Pleasanton. There is a large swap meet / car corral / car show (thru '54).

didn't get alot done but it wasn't for a lack of trying so much as a lack of parts.Managed to get the eng./tranny in the frame just to get a visual of the room I have.fabbed brackets for the air tanks and mounted them in the frame rails.mocked up the fuel cell (which still needs to be tiged up) and came up with a plan for mounting it.Removed the rear crossmember to make room for the cell.Fabbed a new bolt in rear crossmember and test fitted it.Sat and stared at the frame and dreamed/planned for the next free weekend!

Does it count if it took me until Wednesday to do what I wanted to do on Sunday?

I pulled the broken beat up old inner grille off my truck tonight and replaced it with a nice used one, already painted black, that I bought up in Carlilse at the All-Truck Nationals. I cleaned up and repained the front side of the radiator support while it was all apart. Still have to get the hood latch re-installed.

Also pulled this horrendous looking "bullbar" off the front bumper that was doing more harm than good. It was loose and banging on the outer grille.

Dec. 2004:

This morning:
