Transmission leak Please help

Ok here is my problem... After lowering my '86 2" in the rear only I developed a transmission leak. (dont know if lowering had anything to do with it or not)

It is a th350 (non lock up... I took it out and built a regular th350 for it about 6 months ago). It is leaking out of the yolk. There is a little hole in the middle of the yolk where it slides up into the transmission. The fluid is running out of this hole, running down the u-joint and dripping off. The seal itself is not leaking at all. What would cause this? I built the tranny myself with some help. It probably only has about 800 miles on it. Should there be this much fluid in the tailshaft housing? What would allow this to happen. It has been leak free until now. It is a pretty steady drip...drip...drip...drip even while sitting still.

Thanks for any help
Jeremy

I had the same problem with mine. The above article explains how to fix it.

Edit: A small change in angle makes a big difference. Mine would leak in my driveway one direction, but was fine when backed in. My driveway is almost completely flat.

The local auto parts stores were no help with the parts, but the dealer had no problem.
