lowering rear with springs?

How hard is it to lower a 71 c10 with rear coil springs? and how can it be done ?

Sure........shorter coils. You can also lower an inch or two with a block between the axle and the trailing arm.....but the coils are the more common "kit" approach.

can someone point me in the right direction as to who sells the blocks? Are they standard blocks like the ones you get at any auto parts store? Just need the blocks and longer u-bolts right?

and a deep 1 1/16" socket or so, i didn't have any sockets that large that were deep so i left it on when i painted the frame and the rear end.

Just use an open end wrench to get them loose and take them off by hand

You can replace the rear springs in a very short time

not the U-Bolts, the only wrench i have that big is a monkey wrench. the springs come out with a 3/4 wrench though. it's an easy removal as long as the bottom cup stays in place. take the top mount off first, then you can pull the spring while removing the bottom cup and it won't spin if you put pressure on it.
