For Sale: Cheap '69 2wd drivetrain parts

Hey everyone,

I'm parting out my '69 GMC 2wd rolling drivetrain. I have all the front suspension, rear suspension, rear 12-bolt diff. and 2 piece draftshaft (for manual tranny). All in good working order.

Make a reasonable offer or the victor gas torch gets after it!

Located in reno/carson city, NV area.

Rear suspension is original factory leaf

Good point, sorry, it is the leaf suspension. Came from the factory as leaf, its on the original build sheet. I believe the rear diff is open (not posi) with 3.73s. I'll be at the shop tomorrow (9/3) , I'll take off the diff. cover and confirm.

Not much other parts, I put my 2wd '69 GMC body and engine on a '72 Chevy 4wd chassis. I have an extra set of doors from the donor truck, if you are interested I'll ask my buddy that is on the project with me if he wants to sell them.

I know someone looking for the tail light harness that runs between the tail lights for his 69. Do you have that?

Response to parts requests

Hey guys,

I dont have the wiring harness between the tail lights, I stepped on it with the forklift when removing the bed.

As far as individual front-end compnents, I'm not a front-end suspension guy, I'd rather you take the whole front susp. To be honest, I don't have the time to piece it apart to little pieces; want to sell it off in chunks. I'll cut the entire section at the frame and give it to you as one piece on a pallet. It was in very good working order, including newer lower ball joints. I'll basically give this thing away if you offer enuf for my time to pack and ship it, that's it.

As far as the rolling drive train, I would love to sell it that way, but some, and maybe all of the body mounts have been removed for another project. Any interest in the rolling drivetrain still?

For the rear diff., I dont have my heart set on a price, local wrecking yards here are getting $600-650. I would like $200ish, will entertain offers, let me know. It has about 135K total miles, is for leaf mount, and I have driven it in the truck for the last 16 years. I did several oil changes, and didnt do anything heavy duty with the truck. It was originally a glass repair shop truck in Bishop, CA so its never had heavy duty use since day one. At 70mph, with 31" tires it turns about 2500 rpm.

And are you guys looking to pickup or ship? This stuff is real heavy. But if interested still, let me know, I dont want to see it go to waste.
