I will miss the oil then, I generally come up Hwy 48 and go around the off ramp there. Again good luck, let me know if you need back up at the transmission shop.

Oky well I just got back from the shop. I have the tranny complete rebuild short of the converter in back of my 84 truck. So I can epoxy prime it at paint it later tonight.
Get this he wants $400.00 to cover his parts. I just told him I will be back tommorow. At least I have the tranny rebuilt. Now that I am home I found the bill and it has a warranty of 6000km. I have under 3500 miles on what was left of it. I am going in tommorow and just going to lay it down. I want the Torque converter in my hands and the bill you have written up to dissaper unless you will have one of the worst names in town . Whenever people at shows ask me what I am running for a tranny I will reply with "dont get Scugog transmission to build it what every you do".

You need to take him to court on this. HE is responsible for the damage to the transmission, pickup, and the other vehicle.
The transmission you are receiving....will be junk...I guarantee that. As far as the actual cost of parts in the rebuilt that he is providing....less than $200...more than likely $100 (you won't be getting a cleaned & qualified converter). You are probably getting a transmission that they pulled out of another vehicle that still ran........ When you get to court, ask for the original cost of the rebuild, the replacement cost, damage to the truck, and damage to the other vehicle. |

That is what I would do. I also think he might be right about the transmission.

Man that SUCKS!!! I'd be pissed too.
I fully agree that he owes you a replacement transmission to the same quality and specs that you originally paid for. And because I wouldn't trust him I would be willing to pay another shop to inspect the transmission before I installed it. BUT I don't see how he is liable for any other damage, just the replacement transmission. In fact you will probably see that written on his paperwork, but in a more legalese fashion. just my 2 cents......

Wow!!! I,m Impressed, thank god you wern't hurt. It's true about going 88 or newer on the 700r, also try to get one from a V-8 truck, the V-6 ones have smaller clutch packs, All mine get 400 trannys, they never die...... also get aftermarket roller clutch kit, a friend of mine who runs insane hp motors in his Pro street camaros (550+hp) uses them and they stay alive. B+M has them, not sure of price though.
