Wiring - where to buy
Greetings all,
I am in the market for a new wiring harness for my truck. The old one filled the cab with smoke a few days ago and is now a melted blob on the firewall. I am not complaining because it could have been much worse. However, I still need a new harness. Where is the best place to get one new? I am thinking of going to Painless, but may go stock. It all depends on the features I can get with it.

I'd upgrade the harness. You can add more circuits for things like power windows, better stereos, etc. FRENCHBLUE72 is installing a painless kit in his Blazer. He's just down the road from you in Gran's Pass.
I've never done one, but here's a few manufactures; http://www.painlesswiring.com/ http://www.ezwiring.com/ http://wiringharness.com/

I bought all new original wiring upgraded for HEI from ed at MotherTruckers, a board vendor. It was pretty easy. His website is www.mothretruckers.net. It has hhis 800 number on it.
