What I got Done This Weekend
I finally rebuilt the door lock assemblies and rebuilt the door hinges. Also installed the stainless radiator cover I made..........

Installed plugs and changed oil in the GMC. It was the first cartridge type filter I've messed with.....mess.
Also put a new rear veiw mirror in the Chevy and rerouted some wires...still not tidy but better.

I got my cab back on the frame Saturday only to find out one of my exhaust manifolds wouldn’t clear. Then when I was blowing out the cab around the windshield, I saw dirt and rust fly out the other side. I thought it was ok because there wasn’t any signs of rust around it. Then I pulled the windshield and found a 6 inch rust hole that I had to patch. That killed half a day to fix…

Don't you love those driveway tear downs, and all the neighbors drive by and look at ya like NOW WHAT ARE THEY DOING!!!!???????
 As far as the can oil filters go, I love the way no matter what you seem to do you are turning the bolt and can to get it off and suddenly there is a waterfall of oil that has only one place to go and that is down your arm all the way to your elbow!!!!!!  At any rate, I continued on cutting out rusted metal and patching with good steel. The guy at the motor machine shop said my 383 is close to done.............he is way ahead of me, the truck being ready and my pocket book!!!! Anyway there is progress being made!!!

I live in the country so I don't have too many rubberneckers, except the ONE GUY who lives down the road, I am next to last on road and he is last. He grumbled about a guy across the way who parked a bread truck on his property and said it pissed him off every time he drove by.
Since that conversation I have the following that I adopted: 57 Willys wagon 58 Willys truck 58 Willys parts truck 52 GMC COE 72 Jeep truck 13 foot Camper front clip from a 68 chev truck 69 chev truck for the 68 clip Godzilla Humungus built for overkill wood splitter 24 chickens, 4 roosters 2 dogs, one Skipper Key I am not sure if the Skipper Key is a dog or ??? 48 Jeep pickup box Many extra parts, doors hoods fenders engines frames winches lights transmissions wheels and tires sandblast booth wood piles etc. etc. etc. etc. The guy doesn't even look to the side as he drives past now!!!!!

I installed my headlight buzzer. Who would have thought that I would smile everytime I forget to turn-off my headlights? If you haven't done this, do it. You can buy a buzzer for $10 off of the parts board, and that includes shipping.

Yeah We live out in the country but my mom gets mad at us for our parts being every where. As I type there are two frames one stripped and one with only the cab gone sittig in the frontyard. There is also a broken tractor sitting next to the shop and a 71 chevy cab hanging in the large tree out front. Dad is just glad that this is "my" project so mom isn't on his back about it.

Yard, house and garage work Saturday. Sunday was a swap meet with a bunch of 67-72 GM truck stuff but nothing I needed. Came home and got a friend to help me remove the front clip from the 67 parts truck. He left and I went back at it and have almost everything remove from the cab. I have decided to not use the front clip so everything but the bed will be for sale soon. Pictures to come during this next week. I am an easy seller and don't so this for a living. All I want to do is get a few dollars to buy a few things for my 70 C/10.

Got the 4wd fixed on my truck. The pivot pin/bolt that attaches to the back of the tranny broke off flush. I was all set to drop the trans/transfer case out, but decided to try and reach it thru the hump. Took the seat,carpet, pad and hump out, and welded a nut to the broken stud. It screwed right out. I just got back in from the parking lot at work putting the new one in and bolting the hump down(I love being able to do stuff on night shift). The whole thing was a PIA, but I figure it was alot easier than dropping the trans etc to get to it. Now I can test out my tires and see how she climbs!! Deer season is just around the corner....

Installed the new turn signal switch, which got my brakelights fixed.
Installed the new stoplight switch. That seems like nothing, but those 2000 buckets sit so close to the dash that a big guy(like me) can barely get in there. Got my amp working and now my stereo kicks !!!

Tried to get my hood aligned....tried, put my new grill on the 69 and got bumper remounted.
Went to harbor frieght, bought welding helmet, to paint guns, and a cart that I can push around my garage and drive way. Holds all my stuff when i'm working or not working.

I bought a 69-70 hood from da-burb a few years ago and a fender off the parts board before that from somebody else.
This weekend I finally got around to making them both the right color for me. Now to TRY to get them on the truck without scratching the heck out of them.

I got stuck! I got my mounts lined up and drilled em, but couldn't get the LS1 to fit.

Looks like you either need to become the "notch-king" or find some creative bracket solutions to relocate a couple accesories.

Had to take a break from working on the '67 to repair the brakes on the son's '88 Chevy 1/2 ton. New pads, calipers and front brake hoses...$100. lighter also.
