I remember my Grandpa bringing home his new 67 Chevy PU, that must be what started it. I bought it from him in 82 and drove a 67-72 daily untill just a few years ago. Now I use the 68 for hauling and the 72 has become a hobby truck. Granddad's old 67 in in the hands of my brother for now.

Same truck for 35 years. Bought it new.
1970 (72 mods) 427 4X4 stepside. Most all options.

I bought my 72 swb in May 1993 about a month after I turned 16. I still own this truck & use it as a daily driver today.

Got my 68 CST in 1983. Has been my daily driver ever since. And still is today. Been through a few engines and one trany change from 3 speed to turbo 350.

I started driving my '71 in '72--in the field behind the house to pick up hay with my Dad. I was 9 & could barely reach the clutch. When I was 16, my first date was in the same truck. When I was 25, I used this same truck to move all my belongings to my folks house when I went into the Army. In 1990, my folks gave me the title as a 2nd anniversary present. Now almost 16 yrs later, my oldest is learning to drive in it.

Bought my first in 1991, Ocha Yellow, 71 Cheyenne C10, LWB. Just went through the BIG D with the first wife and she took everything. A student from Texas had just graduated from a local flight school and was heading off into the wide blue wonder and had it in the local paper, I talk him down to $2300 and bought a pretty much rust free truck. It had a gaudy looking fuel cell mounted in the bed that his dad use to fuel up his crop duster with back home. Sold the fuel cell for $350.00, (Wow!) put on a new exhaust system (Headers/glasspacks) and drove it for 9 years. 2000, went to Branson, MO and spotted and bought my current dailey driver, factory Black, 72 Cheyenne K20, LWB and still drive it today. Gas is killing me! But, since 2001 I have bought 5 more (signature) and have them stored in a barn (for some reason). I guess I'll figure it out when I retire from the military (real soon). There is just too much that you can do with these trucks to keep them on the road and they are the best looking truck out there when they are clean and sounding loud. Gas prices is the only way that I would park mine. Until I could afford to drive it again.

Bought my 71 LWB about 3 1/2 yrs ago and have poured lots of heart, soul and cash into it. Im buying a 67 GMC LWB Friday. That will be the primary project and the 71 will stay status quo for the meantime...

Well I saw a 67-72 truck when I was 16 looking for a project... for some reason I didnt buy it (my parents thought the ford in the lot looked better so i just left) I ended up buying a 85 rust bucket. Learned how to work with cars on it, learned how to drive a stick on it. Thought I would never get rid of it but sold it to a friend when i was prepping for deployment to here in Iraq early this year. About a month ago, I bought my '71 C10 SWB that I always wanted... Havent driven it yet but i cant wait!!!

Im only 20 so you can see it takes a few years for me to learn what the best truck out there is....

I had a 67 shortbox stepside in about 1971. Got rid of it in about 1974 and then bought the current 68 longbox fleetside in 1986.

Bought my first 72 4x4 about 2 years ago because I needed something to pull my boat, fell in love with the rust bucket and decided to restore it. (to rust free at least) I will drive it again sometime soon!!
